Just when you think you're done fer', someone comes along and hauls your bacon out of the fire.
If you think I mean the cat in the illustration, you're wrong.
It's Sunday afternoon. I have two long work days staring at me, and leave for Puerto Rico early in the morning Wednesday, and anticipate that I will be a) tired and b) busy, pretty much the whole time I'm there. I had hoped to pre-blog for the week, that way, if I post while I'm there, I can move another entry forward, but I'll keep up with my commitment. I've thought about going to PRN, but I'm afraid if I do that, the blog will fall by the wayside. And that would make me feel a) terrible, and b) (for some reason) guilty.
And I have to clean the house so the house/cat sitter doesn't think I'm a slob.
Along comes Shawn Lea (of Everything and Nothing fame) to the rescue with some blog suggestions. Generous of her, since she could certainly incorporate them into her own blog.
Anyway, this story comes from her:
At a house fire in Lansford, PA, this fine EMT and animal lover came out of the house carrying an unconscious cat. He proceeded to stimulate it, and instituted mouth-to-muzzle CPR. The EMT isn't named in the video, but he's a hero in my book.
Link to see the video, or how to do cat CPR, using a mannequin named Fluffy.
