By the time this post comes up, I'll be on a plane to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to compete (albeit at a low level) in the Caribbean Dancesport Classic.
As a rule, I am not competitive, nor am I about dancing. But a few students I like, and a few instructors I like as well are going. And once I agreed, I decided I'd better practice, so as not to make too big an ass of myself. I guess that's how my dancing skills are gradually improving.
And since I was doing that, I figured I'd better get some new dresses, so Sandy and I went shopping and found some beautiful gowns. And then I got my first spray tan (thanks for the tip, Jill.) Got my favorite shoes resoled.
Guess I'm ready. While we're there, we're planning on visiting El Yunque rainforest while there. I think everyone's pretty excited about that. Less interesting to me is the talk of parasailing and karaoke.
Wish me luck!
