I have sampled a few pots of Folger's Gourmet Selections Morning Cafe. It is a nicely rounded, mild coffee, not very robust.
I prefer my coffee on the robust side.
I tried adding an extra scoop to the filter when I make a pot of coffee--5 instead of four heaping scoops. It helped.
But after a couple of pots, I started using my favorite recipe: two scoops of regular coffee and two scoops of French Market coffee (with chickory). That's the best, with a deep, rich flavor.
I enjoyed the three samples of coffee I was sent: Morning Cafe, Lively Colombian and Vanilla Biscotti, and appreciate the Folger company allowing me to sample and write about their new line.
I think the Colombian is as good as the 8 O'clock coffee that I usually get, so I'll buy whichever is better priced, and then continue to mix it with a chickory-coffee blend.
While I don't like flavored coffees per se, the Vanilla Biscotti had a nice flavor, and I think folks who like that kind of coffee would enjoy it. I'll keep it for guests, and maybe try another flavor for variety (Caramel Drizzle, Hazelnut Creme--mmmm, hazelnuts--- or Chocolate Truffle.)
The lively Colombian comes in a decaf option, and most of the coffees come either ground or as whole beans.
I'd recommend you try them for yourself. Go to their site and request your sample.
I was surprised and happy to see we had a coffee pot and Starbucks coffee in our hotel suite in Reno.
Thank goodness, as I really needed coffee to get me going in the mornings after our VERY late nights, which I am not used to.
