But it's hard to think of everything. If your loved ones are trying to fulfill your every last wish, but at the last minute realize they forgot to order the casket--no worries! Costco can overnight ship one to you as long as it's ordered by 2 PM. Priced from $1000 to $4000, they can order "In God's Care" or "The Lady of Guadalupe", or "The Mother" or "The Kentucky Rose". Then they can just drop you in a big hole in the back yard. Or, if you prefer another route, Costco can also supply you with a tasteful urn. Casket in wood or steel.
One of the smartest things I ever did was join the National Cremation Society. I carry the card in my wallet. You can meet with a representative (in certain states only), and fill out an extensive questionnaire about what you want. You pay a fee up front, and they'll arrange everything when you die. Here's the thing. If you die anywhere in the world, they'll do what is necessary to bring you home for whatever grand finale you selected. My husband was a member, and when he died, they took care of everything. It helped a lot.
I'm either doing that, or being plastinated or composted.
